Christmas with cinnamon!
Cinnamon is a sweet spice that not only adds a wonderful aroma to beverages and foods, it also gives that extra special flavor and a touch of ... Christmas!
1. In coffee!
That time of the morning when you wake up and prepare your cappuccinos, try sprinkling some cinnamon instead of chocolate over the cream. The aroma of this blend is gorgeous! Something else to consider – for any vanilla flavoured hot beverage, trying adding a little cinnamon on top! So good!
2. On biscuits
This festive period is definitely a time of baking cookies and biscuits with your children. Try adding a little cinnamon on top when they’re just out the oven and hot hot hot! You can either sprinkle it on its own or mixed with some sugar for some extra sweetness and crunch!
3. Turkey stuffing
If your stuffing is somewhat sweet, especially if you use chestnuts and raisins, then cinnamon is a fantastic addition and completes the taste with aromatic effect. To do this, simply add a cinnamon stick once you’ve already sautéed your onions and about to cook the mince.
4. In warm wine
An international favourite around this time of year, warm wine is possibly so beloved because of its simplicity, and perfection. But what makes it so perfect? Well for one, unlike regular wine, mulled wine has an additional flair to it-cinnamon. After heating your wine with the proper ingredients, once you are ready to serve, simply pour into your favourite mug, and ad 1-2 whole cinnamon sticks. This cinnamon garnish is the perfect complement to your winter drink and is absolutely delicious.
5. On popcorn
At Christmas, chances are you and your family will be gathered in front of the TV, watching your favorite Christmas movies. Let's make this tradition a little more festive with ... popcorn! Prepare the popcorn as you normally would and pour into in a large bowl with a little butter. Then sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon and stir so that the popcorn becomes completely coated. Decadently delicious!!
