Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! And like many of us, you may be feeling the societal pressures of ‘where to go’ and ‘what to do’ on the day of love. That’s why we have come up with three of our favourite date ideas for you to take your loved one on for the most romantic day of the year!
1. Go on an adventure
Leave your suit/tie/dress/high heels at home, and bring your significant other on an adventure date! Going on an adventure is spontaneous and unexpected, just like love! Taking a trip to the mountains, exploring a new town together, or going hiking are just a few of the numerous adventures you can take your date on. Not only will they love the change up of getting to relax instead of having to put in effort to get fancy for the ordinary dinner date, but being on an adventure means experiencing new things, and experiencing them together. What could be more romantic than that?
2. Game night!
Grab a glass of wine, and a good game for you and your Valentine to play on this day of romance! A game night is a great way to not only have fun, but an excellent way to learn more about the other person you are with. Playing games shows a lot of personality and character traits in a person that otherwise you may have not figured out! And if you are in the beginning stages of your relationship, there are also many great games you can play to get to know your date better. So choose your game wisely, and get your game on!
3. Cook a meal together
This classic date idea is a classic for a reason- because it is just so romantic! Whether you just met, or have been in a relationship for a while, cooking a meal together is one of the best date ideas around. By combing efforts to create something together, you are spending quality time, creating memories, and shared experiences. We suggest doing one of two things; either cook something that neither of you has ever cooked before, so that it is completely new to both of you, or cook something that is your absolute specialty, and walk your date through cooking it together- because it’s always romantic learning to do something through the person you love!
