As winter and the cold days and nights are approaching, we spend more and more time at home. To help you spend a good times at home, we suggest some ways to give a nice cozy aromas in your house.
Add your favorite scent to pine cones
Next time you go to Troodos mountains, pick up some pine cones and bring them home.
Next, add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil, such as lavender or cinnamon on top of each pine. Afterwards place them in a nice basket. They look beautiful and they add a wonderful smell to the room! Furthermore, it is easy to move the basket from room to room.
Take an orange and add whole cloves to it
Take an orange (or more, as they are in season) and a handful of whole cloves. Take each whole clove and push it in to the orange. You can put as many cloves as you like and you can also make a pretty design or simple design. The result is a wonderful scent being released from the combination of the oranges and cloves, refreshing the whole room.
Place oranges, apples, cinnamon and cloves in a pot of water
This is a good old classic way to make your home smell cozy and wintery! Take a medium to large pot of water, let it lightly simmer and add in some fresh slices of oranges and apple and then a few tablespoons of cinnamon (or sticks) and some cloves. Turn off the stove and let the pot sit on the counter or stove top. This amazing scent will be released throughout most of your home.
Add coffee beans to your candles
Buy some nice candles with warm aromas e.g. vanilla, apple, or even better pumpkin, some round glass vases and a bag of coffee beans. Place a candle inside the glass vase, put some coffee beans around the candle and light it up! The warmth of the candle, will warm up the beans and they will start releasing their aromas. And nothing beats the smell of coffee, right?
