Pork Chops with Orange Juice and Honey

Ingredients
  • 1.5 kg pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
 

For the Marinade

  • 2 cups (500ml) fresh orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons (60ml) honey
  • 1 teaspoon (4g) sweet paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2g) turmeric
  • 4-5 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4-5 sprigs fresh oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Method
  1. In a bowl, mix all marinade ingredients. Place the pork chops in the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated, and marinate for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight. Drain the pork chops before cooking.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and sear the pork chops on both sides until they are nicely browned.
  3. Transfer the pork chops to a baking dish, pour the marinade over them, and cover with parchment paper and aluminum foil.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 2 hours. Uncover and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes, or until the pork chops are golden brown.
  5. Serve the pork chops drizzled with their juices.
