The 4th Cyprus Road Races Grand Prix, organized by the Cyprus Amateur Athletic Association (KOEAS) in collaboration with the Cyprus Police, took place successfully in Limassol on October the 22nd. The event was part of the "Lemesia" series, and all the road races were held in memory of the former athlete and educator Marios Agathangelou.
Hundreds of runners participated, covering the coastline of the city. The event included three routes: 10km Men-Women, 5km Men-Women, and a 5km Corporate Race, as well as a 1km route specifically for children up to 15 years old.
True to its longstanding commitment to support the values and ideals of sports, METRO sponsored the "METRO Kids Race," providing an opportunity for our little friends to participate in sports alongside their parents and friends.
In her speech, Melina Scordelli, Chief Marketing Officer of METRO supermarkets, emphasized the role of KOEAS in promoting the values of sports, fair competition, healthy rivalry, discipline, and teamwork. She added that METRO will continue to support its work.
