A warm drink with alcohol: Hot Toddy

Hot Toddy is one of the most famous warm cocktails! It’s good for the cold too, if you like bourbon and whisky!

Ingredients

2 tbsp bourbon/whisky or brandy

1 tbsp honey

2 tsp fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup boiling-hot water

Method

Put bourbon, honey, and lemon juice in a large mug. Top off with hot water and stir until honey is dissolved.

 

A warm drink without alcohol: Mulled hot apple

A great non-alcoholic drink that, not only will warm you up but since it’s full of vitamins too, is good for your health too.

Ingredients

2 cup apple juice

1 orange cut into quarters

12 cloves

2 cardamom pods, crushed

1 tbsp honey

2 cinnamon sticks

Nutmeg, grated

Method

Pour the apple juice into a pan and squeeze some of the juice from the orange quarters into the pan. Stud the orange quarters with the cloves and add to the pan with the rest of the ingredients (apart from the nutmeg). Heat through until warm and serve in a mug with a little grated nutmeg on top.
