Watching what you eat doesn’t have to be a chore. Try Gobolino Pasta a la Cream, which is surprisingly light and ideal for vegetarians, fasters, and just plain healthy eaters alike!
Ingredients:
1 package whole-wheat pasta
1 package soy cream
3 peppers, red, orange, yellow, finely chopped
½ box fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
salt
white pepper
Directions:
Boil the pasta in water as salty as the Mediterranean, and before you strain it, save 1-2 cups of the water.
Put the peppers, mushrooms and garlic into a pot, and instead of oil, pour ½ cup of the salt water into it.
Sauté and, before all the water evaporates, pour in the soy cream. If necessary, dilute the cream with a bit of the salt water, before adding.
Sprinkle on the white pepper and then dump the strained pasta right into the sauce. Mix and serve. Bon appetite!
Tip
Saffron goes great with this dish! Add it to the sauce, before you add the pepper.
