Healthy snacks with Rice Cakes!

Rice cakes are an ideal treat to snack on during the day considering they are filling, low in calories and can be made into many different healthy canapés.

 

 

1. Peanut butter + Banana

Spread the rice cake with a tablespoon of peanut butter and top it off with thin slices of banana. This is the ideal snack to enjoy about a half hour before going to the gym.  Peanut butter contains magnesium, which is necessary for building muscle, and banana which is a necessary source of energy, making this the perfect, healthy snack to eat before the gym.

 

2. Cottage cheese + Cucumbers

A hearty and refreshing snack. Spread 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese onto a rice cake, and place on top fresh cucumber slices.

 

3.  Light cream cheese + Strawberries

What would cheesecake be like without all the calories? Something like this! Spread a tablespoon of light cream cheese onto your rice cake, and top it off with slices of strawberry!
