Easy Homemade Eurovision Pizza!

Who can turn down a homemade pizza? No one of course! So this year, as you gather around to watch Eurovision, you can be sure that your Pappous, your ‘Thea Eleni’ and your nephew ‘Yiannakis’ will all love what you’re serving. Don’t worry about sending your guests home with the leftovers, there won’t be any such thing!

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

½ kilo all purpose flour
1 teacup milk
1 ½ teacup olive oil
1 packet yeast
a little salt
a little sugar
cool water (enough to make the dough soft, roughly 1 cup)

For the Sauce:

½ teacup tomato paste
4 tbsp ketchup
50ml water
oregano
pepper

Directions:

Put the flour, milk, oil, yeast, salt and sugar into a mixing bowl and loosely mix. Next, slowly add the water while mixing with a spoon. Then, using your hands, mix the dough until it becomes a soft pliable mass. Work it into a ball and then let it sit for 10 minutes to rise. Roll it out to the size of your pan.

The sauce is super easy to prepare. Simply mix all the ingredients together, and voila! Spread it all over the dough that you’ve spread out on the pan, and then throw whatever your heart desires on top! Cheese, veggies, meat, whatever! Bake in a preheated oven at 150 degrees until the crust is lightly golden.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Then cut and serve.

Tip: A fun idea is to match the toppings you use on your pizza to the country you are supporting in the Eurovision competition! So for example, if you are supporting Greece, then use feta and olives, or if you are supporting Italy, then use mozzarella and prosciutto!
