What a sweet way to welcome in the fall! This juicy pie is so easy to make you’ll have no excuse not to!
Ingredients:
1 package of puff pastry
For the Filling:
5-6 apples
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
Directions:
Remove the puff pastry from the freezer and roll it out on the counter. Melt the butter in a saucepan and then set it aside to cool a bit. Mix the butter and the brown sugar in a bowl until they become homogenized. Then add the cinnamon and mix in. Rinse and chop the apples into small cubes and add to the butter/sugar mixture. Mix. Fill the puff pastry with the apple mixture, leaving room around the edges so the juice doesn’t run off. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20’-25’, on the middle rung of the oven. The apple pie will rise and turn a nice golden brown, while the delicious aroma of apples and cinnamon fill your house. Instead of one large apple pie, you can make mini pies by cutting the puff pastry into pieces and adding 1 tsp of apple mixture each and folding the pastry over to make a closed pocket.
