3 pool games for kids!

During these hot summer months, the kids spend much of their time cooling off in the pool. Make their summer days more exciting and memorable by showing them games they could play while splashing around! These three games are sure to keep them occupied and active, and keep their mind off the heat! 

Marco Polo

Marco Polo is a great game to challenge the kids and their senses! Normally played with two people, one person is Marco, and the other, Polo. The objective of the game is for Marco to find Polo without using their sight, and only their hearing. Whoever is Marco must close their eyes, and shout “Marco”, and whoever is Polo, must yell back “Polo”. They repeat these steps until Marco gets used to depending on his hearing only and finds Polo. Once polo is found, the roles switch!
 
Jump quiz

Jump quiz tests both your knowledge, and your ability to multi task! To play, you have a quiz master, and the players who are being tested (you can have as many of these as you want). The quiz master stands in the middle of the pool, and each player takes turns getting asked questions by the quiz master. The players have to jump into the deep end of the pool, and while they jump mid-air they must answer the question they are being asked by the quiz master. If they fail to answer the question before hitting the water, the quiz master gets a point. If they answer the question before hitting the water, they get a point. One question per person until everyone has answered. The fastest player to collect 10 points wins!
 
Underwater Treasure hunt

The underwater treasure hunt is super fun, and can go on for hours! Simply find anything that is sinkable, and water resistant, for example, a coin or a marble. Next, everyone who is playing must stand with their backs facing the pool and their eyes closed, one person tosses the treasure into the pool and watches it sink while the others are not looking. Once the treasure touches the bottom, the players all jump in the pool in search of it, whoever finds the treasure first and brings it to surface wins!
