Let's sit Outside

Bring the Indoors Outdoors

Let your personal style spread to your outdoor space. The deco style of your house should extend outside too. That way, the transition from inside to outside will be smooth. How to do that? Add framed photos, or pictures on the walls of your veranda or patio, throw blankets over chairs – useful if you have a north-facing outdoor space – and last, but not least make a balanced combination of rattan, wood, concrete, ceramic, glass or metal. This will give an outdoor space a natural feel and connect the interior with the exterior.

Hang Curtains

You can make your patio feel like another room in your house by enclosing it with a pergola and or curtains. Close the curtains for some privacy or when you want to relax and take a nap, it can become an intimate sanctuary. Opt for semi-transparent white, grey or even light blue curtains if your house is near the sea.

Big & Small

Even if the area is small it's okay to have oversized items such as pillows on your sofa or big planters with big plants. Fewer, but larger items make a small space feel bigger, as opposed to a cluttered space with a lot of smaller furniture pieces and objects.

Mix & Match

Pick and choose different furniture and fabrics for the patio the same way you would inside your home. Think brightly colored chairs with a printed umbrella, or various pillows with interesting patterns.

Cheers!

If you have a big garden, it would be a good idea to create a mini bar where you can store drinks, ice buckets and when your guests come they can hang around there and enjoy their drink.

Light it up

Every thing looks more beautiful when it’s lit up. Place lanterns in trees, small solar power lights inside the pots and hang light garlands between the flowers, inside the trees and your climbing plants.
