Wonderful home craft games

Stayed home with the kids and you can’t remember any funny game? Don’t worry. Have a look at these amazing handmade games and have a great time with your family.

Plasticine that you can… eat

You will need:
• Half a cup of soft, unsalted butter
• 1 tablespoon thick cream
• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
• 3-4 cups of powdered sugar
• Food colouring (optional)

What to do:
Mix butter and cream together in a mixer. Carefully add the powdered sugar to the mixture, stirring constantly. The mixture should be made into a dough that is thick enough to be rolled with your own hands. Add the vanilla extract at the end.
Then, roll out the dough and sprinkle with more powdered sugar. Divide it into different parts while adding a drop of food colouring (if you choose not to use food colouring, the game will be just as fun and the plasticine will be white).
The plasticine is ready for your kids to play with - they can roll it with a wheel, cut figures and shapes, or simply play with it with their own hands.

And don't forget - if they decide to try it ... there is no risk!

Invisible Ink

If you have some lemons at home, that’s a great opportunity to create a secret message out of ...invisible ink! Send the message to a friend or relative, include tips on how it works and let them bring the secret note to light!

You will need:
1 lemon
Cotton
1 sheet of white paper
Sunlight or light from a lamp

What to do:
Squeeze the lemon juice in a bowl and add a tablespoon of water. Mix gently. Put the cotton in the liquid and write a message or draw a picture on the paper with the wet cotton.
Allow the liquid to dry completely so that the message or image you created becomes invisible. To share your secret, you need to put it on sunlight or keep it close to a lamp.
The message will be revealed! Hang it as a work of art or share it with a friend.

Your child will be thrilled with this balancing figure on a toothpick

You will need:
1 cork
2 bamboo skewers, 30cm each
1 toothpick
Craft clay
Decorations elements (paper, stickers, paint)

What to do:

Place the cork upright on your working pad. Pin the end of the first skewer on the one side of the cork at a 45-degree angle & repeat with the other skewer on the opposite side. Press the toothpick on the top center of the cork.
Make two equal-sized balls from clay and press them on the ends of the skewers. Decorate the cork as you wish.
Place the tip of the toothpick on your finger to see if the toy is in balance. If it tilts to one side, adjust the angles that the skewers make with the cork until it stands straight.
