You will need:

Pieces of polystyrene 10 cm X 6 cm and 4cm (height)
Scissors
Black paint and paintbrush

Yellow paper wafer

Black paper wafer
Glue
Black string
White construction paper
Black Sharpie

Method

Take the polystyrene pieces and paint them with black paint. Allow to dry. Cut the yellow paper wafer to a thickness of 2-3 cm, and the right length so as to wrap the "bee" body on top once. Do the same when wrapping the entire "body" around the bee, as in the photo. Glue some googly eyes onto your bee’s face. Draw a mouth using a black marker.

Cut out some small wings from your white construction paper and glue on top of your bee. Cut 2 pieces of black wafers and stick the antennas.

 Use your finished bees for creative play or to decorate your home or classroom for spring or summer. You can attach a black string at the top and hang from the ceiling to make your bees fly!
