A cup of (herbal) tea!

We all enjoy a cup of tea! Especially if it’s a herbal tea and has beneficial qualities. These are some of the herbal teas that we all must have in our panties. 

Chamomile Tea

Chamomile is well known for its calming properties, and preliminary evidence supports this. It may also help relieve premenstrual symptoms and high blood pressure, blood sugar and insulin levels. 

Sage Tea

Several studies have found that sage improves cognitive function and memory. It may also benefit colon and heart health. 

Anise tea

Anise is rich in minerals such as calcium, iron, copper, potassium, zinc and magnesium. Potassium is a mineral that helps control body fluids, heart rhythm and blood pressure.

It is mostly used to support digestion and eliminates the indigestion that occurs after heavy meals. It also helps with soothing properties for psychological problems such as nervous attacks, stress, depression, and excessive irritability.
Lastly, thanks to its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, it helps clean the mouth and at the same time, it fights bad smell and mouth inflammation. 

Peppermint tea

May ease digestive upsets, relieve tension headaches and migraines. Peppermint tea may also freshen your breath, relieve clogged sinuses, improve energy levels, relieve menstrual cramps, fight bacterial infections, improve your sleep and aid weight loss. 

Spearmint tea

This popular tea has many benefits. It boosts immune system, eliminates nausea, balances hormone levels, improves memory levels, prevents chronic diseases, reduces inflammation and prevents fungal diseases. If you have a baby, spearmint tea can reduce the discomfort and pain of an infant who is particularly colicky 

Ginger Tea 

Ginger tea is best known as a remedy for nausea, and studies have repeatedly found it to be effective for this use. However, several studies have also found that ginger can help relieve period pain, and it may offer benefits for people with diabetes. 

Lemon verbena tea

Lemon verbena infusion has an antioxidant level comparable to sports drinks and green tea 

Hibiscus Tea

It may help lower high blood pressure and fight oxidative stress. Another study found that taking hibiscus tea extract for six weeks significantly decreased oxidative stress in male soccer players 

Echinacea Tea

Echinacea tea is commonly used to prevent or shorten the duration of the common cold. 

Rose Hip Tea

Rose hip tea is high in vitamin C and antioxidants. Its anti-inflammatory properties may reduce inflammation and pain associated with arthritis. Studies have also found rose hips effective at fighting aging of the skin and reducing stomach fat.

Lavender Tea

Studies have concluded that consuming lavender tea after a long – tiring day or gym session can help alleviate muscle soreness. Incorporating lavender tea can help you maintain your stamina as well, which is why drinking a cup of lavender tea before hitting the gym is a good idea! Lavender tea is also known its ability to combat insomnia. Regular consumption of lavender tea is also beneficial to relax your tensed nerves due to its sedative nature.
