Grilled Tuna Filets

August 5th is quickly approaching and you’re preparing a splendid feast, no doubt! But what about your non-meat eating guests? Surely there will be at least one or two! Don’t fret! Follow the below recipe and watch as your party’s meat eaters choose the surf over the turf!

Ingredients:
 
4 fresh tuna filets
olive oil
basil & thyme
2-3 cloves garlic, very finely chopped
juice of ½ a lemon
half cup rusk crumbs
salt & pepper
 
Directions:
 
Begin by mixing the lemon juice and the garlic with the spices. Then rinse your tuna filets and dry them gently. Coat them with olive oil and the spice mixture.
 
Next fully coat the filets with the rusk crumbs on both sides. Grill on each side for 5-6 minutes on a well-oiled grill to prevent sticking.
 
Tips:
Drizzle olive oil on the fish periodically while grilling, to keep it soft. To ensure the optimum grilling conditions, place grill 10-12cm above the coals.
